Movement has been a life long passion for me. After teaching, performing and creating dance in the ballet and contemporary styles for almost ten years, Yoga and I crossed paths as a way to supplement my dance training. The practice of Yoga allowed me to not only gain physical balance in my body, but experience pure spiritual peace. Further, the desire to teach Yoga evolved naturally from this discovery. In 2010, I completed my 200hr teacher training under Hart Lazer, Jeff Mah, and Kevin Elander at Yoga Mandala. This training was -- and still is -- a key element in my journey to grow deeper into the art and practice of Yoga. In my classes I tend to blend a variety of Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Iyengar and Restorative styles with my background in dance, bodywork and strength training. My Vinyasa-based classes are inspired by the power, grace, and boundless energy of movement, breath, and life. For me, yoga is the perfect balance of physical exertion while harnessing spiritual and cognitive energy that any person, at any age or experience level, can discover.
