Originally from the suburbs of Vancouver, B.C., Kristen moved to Calgary in 2001 to take on a career in banking. It was only after her children were born in 2010 and 2011 that she decided to pursue her true passion in mindful and functional movement. A 200 hour RYT, she is also trained in Pre and Post natal yoga, as well as STOTT Pilates, and considers herself a lifelong student, finding opportunities to learn and grow every day, in every way. You can expect a continual flowing physical practice in her classes, with a strong awareness of the core placement and how breath can support movement and focus. She teaches with love, gratitude and non-judgement, offering classes that are at once inclusive, lighthearted, and self-exploratory.
